Your first visit

What to expect — no surprises.

01

We talk first

A sit-down conversation about what’s bothering you, what you’ve already tried, and what you want to get back to.

02

Your history

We review your health background, any injury or accident details, and how you’re feeling day to day.

03

A gentle exam

Dr. Marrone checks how your muscles and joints move to understand where the trouble is really coming from.

04

An honest plan

A straight answer about whether we can help and what care would look like — no pressure to commit.

Plan on about 45 minutes to an hour. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in — and bring any questions you have.

Come prepared

What to bring.

  • A photo ID
  • Your insurance card, or your auto or work claim information
  • A list of any medications you take
  • Any relevant imaging or reports (X-rays, MRI) if you have them

Don’t have all of it handy? Come anyway. We can sort out the details together — the important thing is getting you seen.

Insurance & payment

Cost shouldn’t be a mystery.

Coverage depends on your specific plan, so the surest answer is a quick phone call — but here’s the general picture for the most common situations.

Auto injury (PIP)

If you were in a collision, Washington personal injury protection (PIP) on an auto policy commonly covers chiropractic care after a crash, and often no referral is needed. Call us to confirm your specific plan.

Work injury (L&I)

Hurt on the job? Washington Labor & Industries (L&I) may cover care on an accepted claim. Bring your claim number if you have one, and call us to confirm your specific situation.

Good Faith Estimate

Paying on your own? Under the federal No Surprises Act, you’re entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before care begins — so you can decide with the numbers in front of you.

Before you book

Questions people ask first

Do I need a referral to be seen?

No. You can book directly — no referral from a medical doctor required. Just call the office and we’ll get you scheduled, often the same week.

Do you take my insurance?

It depends on your specific plan. If you were in a car accident, Washington PIP often covers chiropractic care, and a work injury may be covered by L&I on an accepted claim. Paying on your own? You’re entitled to a Good Faith Estimate up front. The fastest answer is a quick call — bring your insurance card or claim info and we’ll help you sort it out.

Do you treat car accident and whiplash injuries?

Yes. Auto-accident and whiplash care is a core part of the practice. Washington PIP commonly covers this care after a collision, often with no referral, and we document your visits so they support your claim.

Is the first visit really free?

Yes. The new-patient consultation is complimentary — a sit-down conversation about what’s going on and whether we can help. There’s no pressure and no obligation to continue.
